The Benefits...

  • Improved Circulation and Oxygenation: Equine cupping promotes blood flow, which delivers essential nutrients and oxygen to the horse's muscles and tissues. Enhanced circulation can aid in the healing process and maintain optimal function.

  • Muscle Relaxation and Tension Relief: Cupping can help alleviate muscle tension and stiffness, making it a valuable addition to equine athletes' routines. Relaxed muscles contribute to better movement and overall comfort.

  • Enhanced Performance and Recovery: By promoting relaxation and improving circulation, equine cupping can support faster recovery after strenuous exercise or competition. This can potentially lead to improved athletic performance.

  • Release of Toxins and Waste Products: The suction effect of cupping is believed to stimulate lymphatic flow, aiding in the removal of waste products and toxins from the horse's body, which can contribute to overall health.

  • Holistic Approach to Equine Wellness: Equine cupping aligns with a holistic approach to horse care, focusing on the body's balance and natural healing mechanisms. It complements other holistic therapies and conventional veterinary practices.

  • Support for Musculoskeletal Issues: Horses with musculoskeletal issues, such as back pain or muscle imbalances, may benefit from equine cupping as part of a comprehensive plan. The technique targets specific areas of concern.

  • Stress Reduction and Relaxation: Cupping therapy is often considered relaxing for horses. The soothing experience can help reduce stress, making it especially useful for horses in high-stress environments.

  • Promotion of Energy Flow (Qi): In traditional Chinese medicine, cupping is believed to balance the flow of energy (Qi) in the body. Equine cupping can contribute to a sense of overall well-being in horses.

  • Non-Invasive and Gentle Approach: Equine cupping is generally non-invasive and well-tolerated by horses. This makes it a viable option for horses that may be sensitive to other forms of bodywork.

  • Tailored to Individual Needs: Equine cupping can be customized to address specific concerns in each horse. Practitioners assess the horse's condition and adjust the cupping technique accordingly.

Discover the Benefits of Equine Cupping.

Dewey, a 15-year-old gelding, had been enduring severe pain, a distended penis, and bracing in his back legs, rendering him unable to lift them for the ferrier. His distress was palpable in the before videos, which showcased his discomfort with a distended penis, a stiff tail, and a stumbling gait. To alleviate the tension, Dewey's owners turned to cupping therapy, a renowned technique for pain relief and improved circulation. The results, as evident in the after videos, were nothing short of astonishing. Dewey's penis retracted to a normal position, his tail relaxed, and his gait improved significantly. This transformation highlights the remarkable potential of cupping therapy in alleviating severe pain and discomfort in horses, offering Dewey a newfound sense of comfort and mobility that has undoubtedly improved his quality of life.

About the Machine.

Introducing The Equine Cupping Machine (ECM), a revolutionary tool for enhancing equine well-being. Imported by authorized reseller Debra Redman, the ECM is a cutting-edge device manufactured in Austria. Unlike machines designed for human cupping, the ECM is purpose-built for equine and canine needs, specifically addressing challenges related to hair, dirt, sweat, and oil filtration.

Featuring a specially designed motor for minimal noise, the ECM ensures horses remain calm during therapy. Both the ECM and human cupping machines offer pressure control and pulse cycles, but the ECM's glass cups have finger-activated holes for added pressure manipulation. Notably, the ECM includes an external filter that keeps hair, dirt, sweat, and oil away from the motor, a feature absent in human cupping machines.

*Purchase of an equine vacuum cupping machine not required for course completion.
